Lvd style press brake tooling-Special designed Big gooseneck punch used on deep U-shape bending for mining equipment.

The large arc design is designed for deep U-shaped (opening height > 150mm) and narrow margin bending requirements. The large curved upper punch can be designed in a segmented combination with lower dies of different opening vees to complete multiple bending processes.

With Key Components like

1. Frame: The rigid structure that supports the machine, often C-shaped or straight-sided.  

2. Ram (Upper Beam)**: Moves vertically to apply force, carrying the punch (upper tool).  

3. Worktable: Holds the dies (lower tool) and remains stationary during bending.  

4. Back Gauge: A programmable system that positions the workpiece for accurate bend placement.  

5. Control System: Modern machines use CNC (Computer Numerical Control) to automate bend sequences, angle adjustments, and force calculations.  

 

How It Works

- The workpiece is placed on the die, and the ram descends, pressing the punch into the material.  

- The material bends around the die’s V-shaped opening, forming a predetermined angle (e.g., 90°, U-shapes, or complex geometries).  

- Bending force (tonnage) depends on material thickness, tensile strength, and bend length.  

 

Applications

- Fabricating metal components for industries like aerospace, automotive, construction, and HVAC.  

- Creating bends in sheet metal for enclosures, brackets, chassis, and structural parts.  

- Compatible with materials ranging from thin aluminum sheets to thick steel plates (up to 100+ mm, depending on machine capacity).
